Be the Mirror!

The old saying goes something like this, "We can be the light we see in the world, or we can be the mirror that reflects it."  There are many times in life when we either need to be or simply want to be the light.  The opportunity is always there.  But oftentimes we forget that it is just as important to be the mirror.

Sometimes people just need a little encouragement to reveal their gifts.  Try to seek out ways to be the mirror for the people in your life.  They may amaze you with what they have inside. Push people beyond their limits!  Motivate a friend to take a risk in his/her professional life.  Express confidence in a co-worker's ability to head up a new project.  Support your children as they experiment with new sports or activities.  It can be astonishing to see a talent emerge that had previously been unrealized!

tiny sunDaily Practice: Pick one person today and find a way to be a mirror for him/her.  Identify what you can do that illuminates the talent of the other person.
